Nxumalo received his introduction to photography at the Market Photo Workshop, where he studied alongside Sabelo Mlangeni and the late Thabiso Sekgala—both widely regarded as part of the new generation of contemporary South African photographers. Between 2006 and 2008, he completed the Foundation and Intermediate Courses at the Workshop. Since then, he has participated in numerous workshops and has exhibited his work extensively, both locally and internationally. This podcast serves as an oral archive of conversations with individuals of interest whom Nxumalo encounters through his practice.
