Expectancy. I like the word. It feels hopeful. It’s filled with anticipation, the kind of mental alertness that causes a person to lean forward, eyes wide open with heart pumping desire. To me it rightly expresses what happens to us when we become aware of God’s love for us. God is a good Father who loves to give himself away to us. His truth liberates us. His strength empowers us.
