
This podcast features several different Honors classes work. Anything from poems to full feature audio stories.<br /><br />In the fall of 2023, our Writing for the Real World course (HON 315) researched topics related to climate change and the Blue Economy. As part of their research, students interviewed scientists, community activists, and waterfront workers to help tell the story of how climate change is affecting Maine. With their research and personal stories, students wrote, recorded, and produced documentary-style podcasts at WMPG.<br /><br />In Fall 2023- After exploring Chimamanda Adichie's Ted Talk, "The Danger of a Single Story," Honors students in Amy Amoroso's College Writing course worked on writing personal narratives connected to stigma, marginalization, and single stories. Each student chose one sentence from their narrative and worked as a group to write a collective collage poem that included each student's voice. In addition to the collage poem, students created a vi
