In late 1987, he started his own pirate FM radio station, playing dance music regularly for a period of 2 years. When the Greek government legislated to allow private radio stations, Avi was mixing Club and House live on the popular radio program "And The Beat Goes On..." (1989-91). At the same time, he started DJing in various clubs and parties. From 1991 until 1996, during his university studies, his music style was gradually evolving to more trance and psychedelic sounds.
