East Village Radio

Operating as an independent online radio station, East Village Radio cultivates a diverse audio landscape for listeners across New York City and globally. Originally established in 2003, the station gained a reputation for its eclectic and genre-defying programming before a hiatus in 2014. It successfully relaunched in 2023, returning to its roots as a platform for diverse musical expression.

The station’s programming encompasses a broad range of music, including indie rock, electronic, soul, funk, hip-hop, disco, and jazz. This unique blend has historically attracted a dedicated following, showcasing both emerging artists and established musicians. Past contributors have included prominent figures like Mark Ronson and Q-Tip, illustrating the station's commitment to influential and boundary-pushing sound.

While no longer broadcasting from its original storefront, the station’s ethos remains deeply connected to the East Village neighborhood of Manhattan, where its legacy began. Its current digital format allows for international accessibility, extending its reach beyond local New York audiences while retaining its distinct neighborhood identity.
